Sun, 9/21/2014 Come visit Imani's Creations BOOTH on 125th Street (bet'wn Malcolm X & ACP Blvds) during the 45th Annual African American Day Parade! We'll have RED, BLACK & GREEN Flags & Memorabilia's in addition to our huge CRYSTALS/Gemstones, IC JEWELRY & MORE CULTURAL & Empowerment products on SALE! The African American Day Parade has been an annual tradition in New York City since 1969. Held in Harlem each September, the parade's purpose is to provide an opportunity for African people to join together and celebrate the history and achievements of Africans. In the first African American Day Parade in 1969, Congressman Adam Clayton Powell Jr. served as Grand Marshal and led participants through the streets of Harlem.
